Paper bags are utmost the best thing that has aroused till date.  It is undoubtedly the best substitution of the plastic bags.  The plastic bags have created a big nuisance in the city through out the country.  These are non degradable things and so cause nothing but the polluting the environment and making the air contaminating and unhealthy for the people to live. However, the paper bags are not just degradable but also light in weight, flexible and also resistible.  The government is making paper bags compulsory at all the malls and the shopping places.  This wise step taken by the government is appreciated by whole of the country.  These bags are regularly used in the foreign lands.  There, the plastic is banned since long, and India is also not lacking behind.  The rule is getting implemented in all the states.

But, there occurs a question in our mind that what’s there in such bags that makes them so highly accepted and so greatly appreciated?  The only reason is that these are biodegradable bags.  Not only the paper bags, but also few polymer based bags are there which are considered as the biodegradable bags.  The main property of bags is that they are all biologically degradable. No manual efforts are to be implemented over it for its degradation.  However, previously there was complain that these bags are very shaggy looking and not comfortable for the people to carry them openly.  Thus, the steps were taken accordingly and the bags were made attractive looking, highly handy and light in weight.  Today the biodegradable bags of varying verities, patterns, shapes and colors.  This change has brought a devastating change in the market and also the thinking process of the people has changed a lot.

Now, the people are taking initiative in buying such environmental friendly bags, so that they can also give hand in making our earth green and clean.  The pollution and global warming has freaked the people and so now all the people around the country are getting out of the street and spreading the awareness through out.  Even the youth are now carrying such bags in their daily life.  Various campaigns, camps, programs and events are also being organized weekly for the same purpose.  This has to be given a light and must be spread even more, as the work is very heavy and not possible by only few people.  We need millions of hands together working as a single body.

The soil loses its fertility and becomes barren.  This also leads to the environmental pollution.  Death of thousands of animals is reported due to its intake.  We might not notice but such plastics actually chock the pipelines of our city which becomes the main reason of flood.  Several holy places, river banks (especially Ganga River banks) are getting contaminated with such pollution. Many countries have taken steps to get rid of this environmental pollution by plastic bags.  In India, Bann on the Plastic was refused by the Supreme Court but many cities took initiative to reduce its wastage.  In Delhi, Assam and Rajasthan the plastic bag usage is now reduced to almost 65%.  People are being educated to use the plastic bags judiciary.

However the best substitutions for the Plastic bags are the paper bags.  They are biodegradable and environmental friendly, easy to carry, and very light weight.  Such paper bags are being manufactured in various sizes to make its carrying capacity as well as resistance large.  People are made to use paper bags on the place of Plastic bags.  Let us give our hands also to make our planet green following the “Go green environment” act.
